Se7en- the opening sequence was very effective and fitted many conventions of a thriller film. The effective shots and flashbacks used between shots of drugs, people, writing, allowing a idea of the films storyline . It was dark colors and the titles came up white on black in a edged school writing giving the impression that this mysterious character was writing and allowing it to stand out against the other darkended shots. There were flashes of red allowing our mind to wander and using it to think of the connotation of blood connected to murder.
The music was eery and scratchy making my mind uneased setting up an eery sense of mystery for the rest of the film it had digetic and no digetic sounds which fitted well together. The overall opening sequence fitted well together it gives just enough of the film away to make an eager audience member carry on watching .
